A Broad Ripple Engagement Session
Thomas and Emily found me through Emily’s sister in law, Alyssa! These two are both alumni at Michigan State but didn’t until they joined a local Indianapolis group for Michigan State Alumni – so cool! They are both a lot cooler/younger than me and wanted to be able to get both a park/greenery type setting as well as a more downtown vibe and they suggested downtown Broad Ripple for a location for their Engagement Session.
We have lived in Indy for about 5 years and I have driven through Broad Ripple, BUT I hadn’t really been out to explore yet. I’m so glad I did!! I went and scouted some locations and seriously fell in love! So many cool places, murals, bright colors! It was awesome! I was so excited to be able to photograph this totally in love couple there for their engagement session!
I’m getting ahead of myself here! Let me go back a little!! We started out at Broad Ripple Park! When we first moved to Indy and adopted our pup Knox, we took him to this park which also boasts a super cool dog park thats always full of some really awesome dogs. I’m so glad we hit this spot first because this light was just so beautiful, warm, and glowy!!

Next we moved to downtown Broad Ripple! These might be some of my favs solely based on the variety of shots we were able to accomplish just by taking a walk down the street! <3

This next shot was in front of the Vogue Theater. As you can see, this was during covid and the theater was still shut down. Pretty cool, we were able to see some details to mark the time!

Thank you guys for allowing me to photograph your love for one another and connection! I hope you cherish these photos for years to come and congratulations on your marriage in Michigan! Wishing you both many years of happiness!
